ADAS Calibration

Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) is quickly becoming a common option for many modern vehicles, with many vehicles leaving the factory with this equipment as standard. These systems have been designed to assist drivers in order to prevent collisions by instantly taking control of the vehicle in event of a possible collision, providing camera images and displaying alerts to warn of possible dangers while driving.

The purpose of ADAS Calibration is to ensure that the sensors which collect data constantly while driving are aligned and aiming correctly. Accuracy is important as the data that these sensors collect talk with other systems on the vehicle such as Automatic Emergency Braking System(AEB), Lane Departure Warning System (LDW) and Forward Collision Warning System (FCW).

These systems are calibrated from the factory and set precisely into the correct positions, although overtime situations may occur which can cause the sensors to no longer be aligned properly. Some examples of this would be things like Windscreen replacement, minor collisions, parts being replaced & wheel alignment. It is vital that these ADAS are recalibrated once any of the above occurs, so get in touch with the team at Star Performance. We offer a professional ADAS calibration service at our workshop in Glenrothes, Eastfield Industrial Estate.

Requirements Prior to ADAS Calibration:
  • Vehicle must be unladen
  • Vehicle must have a full tank of fuel
  • Wheel Alignment must be carried out prior to the ADAS Calibration(Proof is required if we did not carryout the wheel alignment and a copy must be kept for our records)
